Skills USA Culinary Competition-Chef Mark Molinaro Recap

Well, the competition is over and only a little blood was spilled and minimal tears. The judges were overall impressed with this years teams and were proud of them for putting themselves out there! Top three areas of improvement were:
1) Taste your food!
2) Learn how to use salt, and
3) Understand thermodynamics (Control your heat, don't let it contol you)

NC Junior State Hot Foods Competition

Johnson & Wales will be hosting ACF sanctioned culinary competitions in January, 2010. Medals will be awarded and $500.00 in prize money will be offered for, "Best of Show."
